Last weekend the Gulf wrestling team traveled to the Titusville for the Regional tournament. We wrestled great as a team, and took 5th overall in a region that includes the #4 team in the nation! The Bucs qualified four wrestlers for the State Tournament at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee this Friday (3/3) and Saturday (3/4). The Sheppard brothers, Solen (132 pounds) and Justus (195) both made the finals and took 2nd. Nathan Naplitano (3rd at 138) and Austin Agazarm (4th at 145) also advanced to the State meet. Other contributions that boosted the team to 5th place came from seniors Jason Freda, Evan Simonson, Yusef Mostafa and sophomore Aemon Mostafa.
