mulroy300We are very sad to learn that Alyssa Mulroy, who graduated from Gulf High School only one year ago, died today (June 1).

One of her teachers, Ms. Legrand, who had Alyssa as a student for two years, wrote, “She took all AP classes and was just an all around model student, great kid. Always put friends first. Very involved at school. She was in a variety of clubs and honor societies. She was one of my favorite students.”

Mr. Rutherford wrote, “Alyssa was in my piano class last year and she was one of my favorite students in that class. She was such a sweetheart and I loved her awesome personality. I just spoke to her last week as she stopped by to visit while she was out of school for the summer from USF. She will be dearly missed.”

UPDATE: Alyssa’s on line obituary, with a condolence book, is here.

In 2014 Alyssa won a Samsung tablet. She is pictured here with her e-school guidance counselors. Photo by Ms. Van Ochten.
