Steve Griffith, who has taught math at Gulf High School for 10 years, will retire at the end of the school year.

He joined our faculty at the start of the 2005-06 school year and has taught classes mostly to our IB and pre-IB students.

Before coming to Gulf, he taught math at Charlestown High School in Charlestown, Indiana. He also taught at Indiana University Southeast in New Albany.

He attended Indiana University, where he obtained a B. A. degree in business, a B. A. degree in education, and an M. A. degree in education.

Charles Steven Griffith was born in Madison, Indiana, and graduated from Madison High School.

Before becoming a teacher, he was a golf pro for 10 years in Florida, Texas, and Indiana. He ran a golf course, taught golf, and ran a pro shop. He says he made more money in that career than he did as a teacher.

His wife Lisa is a commodity manager for Pall Aeropower Corporation.
