Mackenzie Marques, a student in our International Baccalaureate program, has been selected as Gulf High School’s Outstanding Senior. She is pictured with Ms. Davis and Mr. Page, Assistant Principal for the IB program.

Mackenzie is a National Merit Scholar Semi-Finalist, and an AP Scholar with Distinction. She is the President of National Honor Society, National History Honor Society, and Interact Club. She is the Secretary of Leo Club. She is also a member of Math Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, English Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Leadership Club, and the Society of Young Philosophers.

She is one of the two coordinators of this year’s World FAIR and she volunteers at the Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point and at a soup kitchen organized by the Islamic Center of New Port Richey. She works as a docent at the West Pasco Historical Society through the National History Honor Society and participates in peer tutoring through the Math Honor Society. During her junior year she tutored at-risk students in math at Chasco Middle School. She has played volleyball all four years.
