Minerva Evangelista has joined our Student Services Department, as the guidance counselor for 9th grade students with last names F through R and for 11th grade students.

She has been employed by the Pasco school district for 13 years. She comes to Gulf from the Career and Technical Education Office, where she was the Juvenile Justice Transition Specialist. She was previously a guidance counselor at Anclote High School for 4 years, beginning there when the school opened.

She has a B. A. degree from City College of New York and a Master’s from Lehman College in New York.

Ms. Evangelista was born in Higüey, Dominican Republic. She came to the U. S. in 1980 at age 12 and grew up in the Bronx. She graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School there.

She has two boys, the older a UCF graduate and the younger a senior at J. W. Mitchell High School.
