The names of the Gulf High School National Merit Semifinalists were announced today on the morning news. They are Mackenzie Marques and Jacquelyn Nagy. They are pictured here with Ms. Davis and Mr. Page.
Officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced the names of approximately 16,000 semifinalists in the 60th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth about $33 million that will be offered next spring.
