The Pasco County School Board honored Mr. Miller tonight for his research into the history of the Pasco County school system. Mr. Miller maintains the Gulf High School web site, which includes the history of Gulf High School and has expanded to show the history of the county and the school system. The plaque reads, “The District School Board of Pasco County proudly recognizes Jeff Miller in acknowledgement of your valuable contributions to our community and in appreciation of your dedicated efforts to document the history of Pasco County and especially Pasco County Schools.” District officials noticed from the web site that the first recorded school board meeting was held on July 18, 1887, making the Pasco school system 120 years old.
