Gulf’s new school resource officer is Jeff Fichtemaier. Cpl. Fichtemaier has been employed by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office for seven years. He spent three years as a Field Training Officer, three years on the SWAT team, and one year on Community Policing. Before he became a deputy, he was a golf pro. Jeff was born in Rochester, N. Y., but is a 1990 graduate of Hudson High School. He served in the U. S. Air Force for seven years. His wife Erin is an Intensive Reading teacher at River Ridge Middle School.
