GHS math teacher Zack Stoutimore has qualified to run the Boston Marathon. He became eligible by running a marathon in Georgia on March 7 in 3 hours, 6 minutes, and 27 seconds. The required time for his age group is 3 hours, 10 minutes. A marathon is 26.2 miles. Mr. Stoutimore said that although the next Boston Marathon will be held on April 19, he will wait until the 2010 race to have more time to prepare. Mr. Stoutimore is the assistant track and cross country coach.
