Paul and Susan Girardi, who have been at Gulf for many years, will retire at the end of this school year. Mr. Girardi has been teaching for 38 years, the last 30 at Gulf. He has been our school’s athletic director for the entire time he has been here. Mrs. Girardi, our nurse, has been at Gulf for her entire career of 25 years. Paul Girardi and Susan Lauffer were high school sweethearts, having met when they were both tenth graders at Freeport High School in Freeport, Pennsylvania. The Girardis say they plan to travel and play with their grandchildren. They have two children and two grandchildren.
