Linda Allan has been named the Gulf High School Teacher of the Year. Her selection was announced at a faculty meeting after school today.
Linda Allan has been at Gulf for 11 years, since 2000. She usually teaches English in the ESE program but is currently teaching Ms. Deg’s English and Drama classes while Ms. Deg is on medical leave.
Linda Zappola was born on Long Island. She graduated from Sayville High School in Sayville, N. Y., and from the University of South Florida. She and her husband Marc have an 18-year-old daughter. She says her hobbies are quilting, sewing, and raising orchids.
The teacher of the year is selected each year by a vote of the faculty.
