Steve Knobl, Gulf’s next principal, met some of the faculty this afternoon. Mr. Imerson introduced him during a faculty meeting in the cafeteria. The school board approved the appointment of Mr. Knobl at its meeting this morning. He takes over on June 9.

Mr. Imerson honored Walter Hilgart with a Character First pin today. Mr. Hilgart has been a popular sub at GHS since 1988. He was a P-38 fighter pilot in the Pacific during World War II and he turned 85 years old on Oct. 5.
